Symptom
Error occurs when the extended desktop function is being used. The error can be recreated by the following procedure:
- Insert a DVD and start WinDVD. During the play of the DVD press Pause.
- Suspend the machine and detach the external monitor.
- Resume the system from suspend and press Play in WinDVD. An error message will appear.

This error is fixed by downloading and installing DirectX 9.0. DirectX 9.0 can be downloaded from the following Web site:
